RF Workbench application
RF Navigator
Broadcast station studies built around the way engineers evaluate stations, translators, channels, and sites — from current FCC data through to the engineering exhibit.
Six study modules
RF Navigator's BroadcastSuite toolkit covers every major broadcast service. Each module works from current FCC data, runs the study, and drafts the engineering exhibits from the completed result.
- FM Translator Engineering — frequency evaluations, interference and coverage requirements, and study support
- LPFM Second-Adjacent Waiver — §73.807(e)(1) interference-zone sizing, contour check, and exhibit
- Full-Power FM — noncommercial (channels 201–220) and commercial (221–300): spacing, contour protection, and Table of Allotments search
- LPFM Station Study — channel search and spacing study, with a direct hand-off to the waiver calculator
- AM Station Study — 540–1700 kHz: daytime groundwave, nighttime skywave, critical hours, directional patterns, and a frequency scan
- TV Station Study — full-power DTV, Class A, LPTV, and TV translators on channels 2–36
Why RF Navigator
FCC records are extensive, but engineering work usually requires connecting information from multiple records and data sources, then writing up the result by hand. RF Navigator shortens that path and keeps the engineer focused on the technical question rather than database mechanics and document formatting.
The same tools behind our engineering services
Every study Nexus Broadcast prepares for a client is run on RF Navigator. If you would rather have the work done for you, see engineering services.
