Nielsen Audio Top 50 Market Counties
Each entity seeking an LPFM radio applicant is required to furnish the FCC with a roster of its controlling members. For nonprofit organizations, this involves presenting a comprehensive list of board members, inclusive of their residential addresses and voting percentages. It’s essential to note that for local consideration, either the organizational headquarters must be situated within 10 miles of the proposed transmitter site – OR – 75 percent of the board members must reside within that radius. This requirement extends to 20 miles outside of Nielsen’s top 50 Radio Markets. A detailed list of counties within the top 50 markets is available on the Nexus Broadcast website.
The regions and localities mentioned herein constitute the latest 2023 Nielsen Audio Top-50 urban markets.
