RF Workbench application

RF Navigator

FCC facility research and RF planning tools built around the way broadcast engineers evaluate stations, translators, channels, sites, and technical opportunities.

Current development focus

RF Navigator is being built from the existing BroadcastSuite translator and FCC database work. The initial release focuses on making large amounts of broadcast facility data easier to search, compare, and use in engineering decisions.

  • FCC FM, LPFM, translator, and booster facility research
  • Translator database search and technical filtering
  • Facility parameter and status review
  • Antenna and technical data integration
  • Side-by-side facility and candidate comparisons
  • Shared workflows with future RF Workbench applications

Why RF Navigator

FCC records are extensive, but engineering work usually requires connecting information from multiple records and data sources. RF Navigator is intended to shorten that path and keep the engineer focused on the technical question rather than database mechanics.

Planned expansion

Planned development includes deeper allocation and interference workflows, mapping and coverage integration, engineering reports, and links to specialized LPFM and translator analysis tools.
