Coverage Map Maker
A print-ready coverage map for your FM or LPFM station, with your logo, your colors and the number of people inside each signal level. Use it for underwriters, advertisers, your website and your next rate card.
Your map appears here. Start with your station's call sign.
11 x 8.5 inches at 300 dpi, ready to print. Free while the tool is new.
What goes into your map
- Your station as the FCC has it on file. The transmitter location, power and antenna height come from your current license or construction permit, so the map shows what you are authorized to run.
- Three signal levels. Strong (70 dBu), your primary service area (60 dBu) and the fringe (54 dBu), predicted with the FCC method and adjusted for the terrain around your tower, including a directional antenna's pattern.
- Real population counts. The number of people inside each signal level, from the 2020 U.S. Census.
- Your branding. Your logo, colors, headline, website and call to action, on a clean map that prints well.
Predictions, not measurements: actual reception varies with the radio, the antenna and the location. Need a terrain-shadowing (Longley-Rice) study or an exhibit for an FCC filing? See Coverage & Interference Studies.
