Entravision, which owns 46 Spanish-language radio stations across the US, is reshaping its board of directors, adding two members with technology and finance backgrounds while two longtime directors prepare to leave.
The new directors are Brian Krzanich and Gary Ferrera. Krzanich worked at Intel for 36 years, including five as chief executive, then ran CDK Global from 2018 to 2022. He currently heads Cerence, a company that builds AI technology for the automotive market. Ferrera brings more than 30 years in finance leadership, has been chief financial officer at nine companies and qualifies as an audit committee financial expert. He takes a seat on Entravision's Audit Committee.
Two departures are scheduled. Fehmi Zeko leaves the board after its October meeting, ending seven years as a director. Gilbert Vasquez, who has served for 19 years and chairs the Audit Committee, will not seek reelection at the company's 2027 annual stockholders meeting.
CEO Michael Christenson tied the appointments to growth at the company's ATS business. "We added Brian and Gary to help us grow the company, and ATS in particular," he said. "Growing ATS means more technology, better technology and more selling, and that is what they know."
The board changes follow a leadership adjustment in July, when Christenson took on the additional title of chairman and Paul Zevnik became lead independent director. Beyond its owned stations, Entravision also operates the Latino Radio Network, which syndicates programming.
